Thank you for choosing to stay at the Aarini Cottage. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING SPACE

Welcome to Aarini Cottage's open plan living room. Flooded with natural light, the inviting space creates a soothing ambiance for intimate gatherings and relaxation. With seamless transitions to the kitchen & dining spaces, it's the perfect place to relax, before or after a meal.

  • Welcome to your comfortable haven! Just before entering the living room on the left side wall, you'll find our user-friendly air conditioning system.

    • Easily increase or decrease the temperature by pressing the arrows next to the temperature logo.

    • For customized airflow, simply press the ventilation logo under the On/Off button. This feature allows you to control the AC speed, ensuring the perfect ambiance in every room.

    • Feel free to select any zone from 1 to 8 to experience the comfort of air conditioning throughout the entire house. Once activated, a reassuring green light beneath the label indicates the zone is actively circulating refreshing air.

    Your comfort is our priority; feel free to tailor the climate to your preference and enjoy a relaxing stay in every corner of the house.

    We ask that you turn off the systems when leaving our home for long periods of time. The system is extremely efficient and only takes around 10 minutes to perfectly heat our home!

  • Our apartment comes with a LG, 70 inches Smart TV.

    The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol.

    To select between different applications simply scroll around and press the middle button to select your preferred streaming platform.

    Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

KITCHEN

Step into our welcoming, streamlined kitchen, where culinary aspirations meet contemporary design. From culinary masterpieces to casual cooking, this kitchen is the perfect canvas to unleash your creativity, and elevate your gastronomic experience.

  • Our main home comes with a Smeg oven which is perfect for home cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.

    • The right knob is for setting the temperature of the oven. Simply move the knob for the desired temperature

    • The knob on the Left is to set the oven to the setting in which you wish to cook. For example, fan force, grill, oven grill, bake, etc and all your choices will appear on the middle screen.

  • Our main home comes with a 3-burner induction stove that is extremely easy to use and operate.

    • In order to use this, simply hold the power button for 3 seconds. This is located at the bottom in the middle.

    • Once it is powered on you can set the level on the plus minus buttons located on either side and is designed to identify which burner it is for.

    • Please note that when using our induction stove, please ensure that the pot or pan is placed on the stove before turning it on. Induction stoves require the presence of cookware on the cooking zone to function. This is because the stove needs to read which zone is covered before it can generate heat. Without the proper cookware in place, the stove won't work.

  • Our home comes with a Smeg Dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.

    The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.

    The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:

    • Simply press and hold 3 sec the On/Off button on the far left to switch on the dishwasher.

    • Next to the on/off button, you will see the different modes for cleaning. On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Nespresso Machine and milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

  • Operating our LG microwave is a straightforward process. Begin by opening the door to access various modes. Select your desired mode and close the door securely. When you're ready to start, simply press the start button located in the bottom right corner.

Home Utilities & Services

Here, you'll find bin night information, and the convenient location of your fuse box for any unexpected issues. All safety concerns are also addressed here.

Rest assured, we have taken every measure to ensure your stay is enjoyable and worry-free.

  • SMART TV

    Please be aware that our double bedrooms has a Hisense smart TV; please follow the operating instructions.

  • Meet our Jumbuck BBQ, located on our outdoor entertaining area and is perfect for family entertaining.

    Operating it is as easy as holding and turning the knob to the left. The upper knob ensures even overall cooking, while the lower one masters the art of grilling. For additional lighting instructions, check the attached guide located conveniently on the right-hand side of the BBQ.

    We provide a gas bottle which will be connected for you throughout your stay and there will be a spare located on the right side of the home if you need to switch this over.

    If you do replace the gas, please let Getawayz NSW know and we will make sure to change this over when you have departed.

    We ask if you use the BBQ, this must be cleaned prior to your departure. If this is not done, an additional $50 surcharge will be charged from the bond or claimed via the platform you have booked the home.

  • WASHING MACHINE

    Our home comes with an internal laundry for you to use whilst you stay with us. The washing machine is located on your first left after entering the house.

    Open the drawer located on the far left and insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.

    To use the machine turn it on with the power button at the left.

    To chose from the programs simply twist the knob to your desired programs for washing.

    On the right hand side, you can see around the screen different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located on the left of the power button.

    DRYER

    Our home comes with a LG dryer for you to use throughout your stay. It’s one of the easiest white goods in the home to use.

    Simply turn the dial to switch on. Turn the dial to your selected program, press the start/pause button on the far right and the dryer will do the rest!

    If using this multiple times throughout your stay, please make sure to empty the lint filter after each use!

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    Please be mindful to use the range hood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.

    There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

    Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

  • The fuse box at this property is located in the 2 bedroom’s drawer.

    Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”. There is a torch located in the laundry (middle door of the pantry), on the trolley next to the washer and dryer.

    If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.

    We would recommend either:

     Using the Ausgrid Website to check for any known outages in the area.

    Or call their hotline number:  13 13 88 to report an outage.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • The bins are located on the left side of the driveaway facing the road. 

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Monday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Sunday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Monday. If you are checking out on Sunday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    • For issues during your stay, please call us on 0480 801 294.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
