Welcome To The Opera view

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Opera View. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

For any queries throughout your stay, please contact us, and include the property code “SYD044” in your message. You can reach us at guests@getawayz.com.au, or via your booking platform.

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING ROOM

Our living space greets you and your family with stunning views of the Opera & Harbour Bridge perfect for the Sydney New Year Eve fireworks, as well as a large sliding door leading out to the balcony where you can throw your feet up whilst sipping on champagne. All the living room features can be located below.

  • Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

    Network Name: Wifi-202

    Password: cleverjade149

    The modem is located in the main bedroom.

  • Our apartment comes with Smart TV.

    The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol.

    To select between different applications simply scroll around and press the middle button to select your preferred streaming platform.

    Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The living/dining has a Mitsubishi air conditioning unit to keep you comfortable during your stay. The aircon should only be kept on for a maximum of 2 hours as this is sufficient time to cool down the home. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    Use the top middle button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle. Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    If you would like to change the mode use the button “MODE” on the top Right. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

    To change the fan speed use the top left button. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed.

    You can turn on the timer, by using the bottom left buttons.

KITCHEN

Our kitchen is well stocked and comes with all the utensils you need to cook meals at home! We ask that you take good care of any of the items in the kitchen. We know mistakes can happen, so if anything breaks, please let us know so we can replace these for you or our next guests!

  • OVEN

    Introducing our user-friendly gas oven with seamless control!

    On the left side, you'll find a knob to select the timer. *Note, the timer needs to be set in order for the oven to work.

    The middle knob is your temperature wizard – just turn it to set your desired heat. With these intuitive controls, cooking becomes a delight.

    The far right knob is for the temperature that you can adjust according to your needs.

    *All 3 knobs need to be set in order for the oven to turn on.

    GAS STOVE

    Our main home comes with a 4-burner gas stove that is extremely easy to use and operate.

    In order to use this, simply hold the knob down and turn to the left to get the desired heat level you are after.

    Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure the gas doesn’t leak.

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Piccolo Coffee Machine, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Other than turning on the Coffee Machine at the power point and making sure it’s plugged in, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    On the top of the Coffee Machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

  • Pre-Departure Task:

    Ensure all dishes and kitchen items are run in the dishwasher before departure.

    Dishwashing Tablets:

    Ample dishwashing tablets will be provided by the Getawayz NSW team. If running low, please inform them for replacement before the arrival of the next guests.

    Turning On the Dishwasher:

    Locate the on/off button on the left-hand side of the dishwasher door. Hold down the on/off button for a few seconds to turn on the dishwasher. The LED display on the right side will activate.

    Program Selection:

    Next to the LED display, you will find the "P" button for selecting the program.

    Choose the program by referring to the symbols above the dishwasher.

    Then press the start button to launch it!

  • To use the microwave please see below:

    Press the mode that you wish such has Quick Min, Keep Warm or Sensor Cook. Adjust the time wished that suits you the most by turning the central knob.

    Finally, just press the button start and you will see how much time is left before your meal is ready. ENJOY!

other amenities

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

  • FAN

    All bedrooms feature user-friendly fans. Simply plug them in and select your desired fan speed by pressing one of the three buttons provided.

  • Our home comes with an internal laundry for you to use whilst you stay with us. The washing machine and dryer is located in the closest between the bedroom and bathroom

    LG WASHING MACHINE

    The detergent is located on the left side of the washing machine.

    To use the washing machine, press the power button and just turn the dial in the middle to your desired program. It will automatically turn on..

    On the right-hand side, you can see around the screen different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button.

    SIMPSON DRYER

    Our home comes with a dryer for you to use throughout your stay.

    Turn the dial to your selected program and the dryer will do the rest!

    If using this multiple times throughout your stay, please make sure to empty the lint filter after each use!

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    Please be mindful to use the range hood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.

    There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

    Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

  • The fuse box at this property is located in the kitchen on the right side of the gas stove.

    Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.

    If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.

    Another great option is to call Origins Energy Info Line on 13 10 03 which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need to provide the postcode, which is 2061.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • The bins are located on the left side exiting the building in a small grey iron storage/shelter. 

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Wednesday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Tuesday evening (if you are staying on a Tuesday night) and collect these from the street if you are staying on Wednesday. If you are checking out on Wednesday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
