It is essential that you contact us if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. Trail is a casual local’s haunt during the week and a destination cafe on weekends.

Owner Nick Stubbs mans the coffee machine (with beans from Little Marionette), having spent years as barista at Pyrmont’s Cafe Morso.

He’s kept the design clean and minimal, with bright Edison-bulb lights, polished-concrete floors and countertops made from blackbutt wood, recommended by a carpenter friend.

The Grumpy Baker was created in 2002 by Michael Cthurmer Owner-operator as a Café/Retail Bakery in Oxford Street, Darlinghurst. Finding a niche in the market for good, old fashioned bread, particularly artisan sourdough that was more “cheesy” and less of a “vinegar” starter, he set out to conquer the bread world.
