Welcome To SOUTH HEAD

Thank you for choosing to stay at “South Head”. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

For any queries throughout your stay, please contact us, and include the property code “SYD042” in your message. You can reach us at guests@getawayz.com.au, or via your booking platform.

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING Space

As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • This home comes with high speed wifi located on the left of the microwave, perfect for all your digital needs.

  • Our living rooms comes with a Kogan Google Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.

    To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

    Please also note:

    • Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    • Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The 2 living areas and bedrooms have a ActronAIr deducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    • Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    • To change the temperature use the arrows located on the left side.Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    • If you would like to change the mode use the button “FAN” on the top left. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • This kitchen is outfitted with an oven for your use:

    To use the oven:

    The right knob allows you to effortlessly adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs. With this intuitive design, cooking becomes a pleasure, and creating culinary masterpieces has never been easier.

    GAS STOVE

    This gas stove is operated by dials located along the bottom.

    Experience effortless cooking with our stove's four knobs. Simply press, hold, and turn left to set your desired flame level. It's cooking made easy.

    Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak

  • A Westinghouse microwave is found next to the fridge. It is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

  • Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.

    When using the Nespresso machine:

    • Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.

    • There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.

    • When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.

    • Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.

    If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

  • This property is equipped with an NEFF automatic dishwasher. Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided.

    To operate this dishwasher, please:

    • To power on the dishwasher press the power button on the far left.

    • To select the mode press one of the 5 buttons on the right

    • To start the machine simply close it.

    On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 50” cycle, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

Home Utilities & Services

Our home is well-appointed with various amenities to enhance your comfort during your stay, whether with friends, family, or chosen companions. Here's a list of additional amenities for you to enjoy throughout your time here!

  • You are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in this home. Detergent and washing powder has been provided for you.

    HAIER WASHING MACHINE

    Our home comes with a front loader Samsung washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:

    • Insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.

    • To power on the machine there is a knob on the right side. Simply twist it to turn the machine on/off and you will see the screen turning on.

    • To chose from the programs simply twist the knob in the middle to your desired programs for washing.

    • On the left hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    HAIER DRYER

    • To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located at the right side of the knob.

    • To power on the machine simply twist the knob in the middle. This also serves as the programs option therefore, twist to your desired drying program.

    • To start the cycle, simply press the play/pause button located at the left side.

  • Enjoy outdoor grilling at its finest with our Napoleon BBQ and grill, offering an ideal space for family entertaining.

    We provide a connected gas bottle for your use throughout your stay, and there's a spare located on the left side of the home in case of a need to switch it over.

    If you replace the gas, please inform Getawayz NSW, and we'll ensure it's switched back when you depart.

    Kindly note that if you use the BBQ, it must be cleaned before your departure. Failure to do so will result in an additional $50 surcharge, charged from the bond or claimed via the platform through which you booked the home.

  • We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.

    The bins for this property are located on the left side before entering the property parking on the street and it’s collected every Wednesday. The outdoor garbage bins are colour coded:

    • Red lid is for general waste.

    • Yellow lid is for recyclable material.

    • Green lid is for vegetation

  • The fuse box for this property is located behind the door of the laundry room.

    In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:

    • If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.

    • If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power shortages.

    We would recommend either:

    • Using the AusGrid website to check your power status.

    • Call the Origins Energy Info Hotline at +13 10 03.

    • You will need to provide your postcode 2027 for these services.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    FIRE EQUIPMENT

    • There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the sink and another fire set up equipment under the BBQ, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    • In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
