Thank you for choosing to stay at The Miller’s on Kent. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING Space

As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • This home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for all your digital needs:

  • Our living room comes with a TLC which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.

    To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

    Please also note:

    • Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    • Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The living/dining is equipped with easy-to-operate fans controlled by a sleek white remote. To start the fan, simply press any button on the remote.

    Adjust the fan speed effortlessly choosing one of the 3 modes provided such as Low, Med and HI.

    But that's not all; our fans offer additional modes for your comfort. Explore the timer mode which you can set up up to 6 hours and the light button.

  • One of the highlights and centrepieces of our living and dining room is the fireplace that adds a touch of coziness and character to the space. This lovely feature will warm the ambiance of your stay, but please remember, it's all about aesthetics and should not be used for actual fires.

  • Please be advised that the property features narrow stairs, which may require extra care for guests with mobility challenges or when handling large luggage.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • This kitchen is outfitted with an BOSH oven for your use:

    To use the oven:

    The right knob allows you to effortlessly adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs. With this intuitive design, cooking becomes a pleasure, and creating culinary masterpieces has never been easier.

  • Meet our advanced electric stovel!

    In order to use this, simply hold the knob down and turn to the left to get the desired heat level you are after.

    Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak.

    Please be aware that after use, the electric stove will retain its heat for approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.

    When using the Nespresso machine:

    • Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.

    • There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.

    • When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.

    • Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.

    If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

  • This property is equipped with an BOSCH automatic dishwasher. Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided.

    To operate this dishwasher, please:

    • To power on the dishwasher press the power button on the far left.

    • To select the mode press one of the 6 buttons on the right

    • To start the machine press the Start/Pause button on the far right, a red light on the right corner wil turned on.

    On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

Here, you'll find bin night information, and the convenient location of your fuse box for any unexpected issues. All safety concerns are also addressed here.

Rest assured, we have taken every measure to ensure your stay is enjoyable and worry-free.

  • TERRACE BEDROOM

    SMART TV

    Step into your top floor bedroom retreat, where a sunny balcony reveals mesmerizing harbour views. Enjoy entertainment on the Smart TV with a full guide at your fingertips, just like in the living room.

    AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING

    The bedroom has a air conditioning/heating units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle. Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    If you would like to change the mode use the button “MODE” on the top left. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

    To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed

    You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.

    The two other bedrooms are equipped with easy-to-operate fans controlled by a sleek white remote. To start the fan, simply press any button on the remote.

  • You are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in this home. Detergent and washing powder has been provided for you.

    SAMSUNG WASHING MACHINE

    Our home comes with a front loader Samsung washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:

    • Insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.

    • To power on the machine there is a power button on the left side of the knob. Simply press to turn the machine on/off and you will see the screen turning on.

    • To chose from the programs simply twist the knob in the middle to your desired programs for washing.

    • On the right hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

  • Our Gas BBQ is located on the top level of our house just outside on the balcony area and is perfect for family entertaining.

    We provide a gas bottle which will be connected for you throughout your stay and there will be a spare located in the vblack door closet next to the BBQ, if you need to switch this over.

    If you do replace the gas, please let Getawayz NSW know and we will make sure to change this over when you have departed.

    We ask if you use the BBQ, this must be cleaned prior to your departure. If this is not done, an additional $50 surcharge will be charged from the bond or claimed via the platform you have booked the home.

  • We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.

    The bins for this property are located on the right side of the tennis court when leaving the house, or on the sidewalk in front of the cafe. They are collected every Tuesday.

    The outdoor garbage bins are colour coded:

    • Red lid is for general waste.

    • Yellow lid is for recyclable material.

    • Green lid is for vegetation

    If the bins are not taken out, waste materials are not separated, or excessive garbage is left on the property, a $100 surcharge will be taken from either the bond or via your booking platform.

  • The fuse box for this property is located in the first closet on the left side after entering in the kitchen,

    In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:

    • If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.

    • If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power shortages.

    We would recommend either:

    • Using the AusGrid website to check your power status.

    • Call the Origins Energy Info Hotline at +13 10 03.

    • You will need to provide your postcode 2000 for these services.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    FIRE EQUIPMENT

    • There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the sink and another fire set up equipment under the BBQ, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    • In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

  • In the event of minor injury, a complete first aid kit is available, stored underneath the kitchen sink.

    • Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.

    • Under Federal legislation, Getawayz NSW cannot provide medical advice under any circumstances. Please do not request medical advice from our team.

    • If you need non-urgent medical advice, please call Healthline Australia at +1800 022 222.

    • In the case of a medical emergency, please call +000, and you will be assisted over the phone by medical professionals.

    If a serious injury, emergency, or near-miss occurs at your home, please notify us at your earliest convenience.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
