Thank you for choosing to stay at The Governor II. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING Space

Step into our unique living room, a harmonious blend of modernity and rustic charm. The space is adorned with sandstone rocks, adding a touch of natural elegance. As you settle in by the warm fireplace, you'll be enveloped in a cozy atmosphere that seamlessly marries contemporary aesthetics with the timeless appeal of rustic elements.

  • Our living room comes with an Samsung Smart TV. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    The remote labelled “SAMSUNG” will operate the tv.

    The "Home" button, which is situated in the middle of the remote and is drawn as a house, is the main way of navigating between streaming services such as Netflix, Stan, Amazon prime etc when the TV is turned on.

    The official e-manual can be found under the support area of the TV's settings choices if you need further in-depth instructions.

    Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The TV room on the second floor has a Daikin deducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle.Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    If you would like to change the mode use the button “MODE” on the top left. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

    To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed

    You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.

  • The living area in the home are fitted with a fan.

    • To use the fans use the Black remote labelled “Aeration”.

    • To turn on the fans press the ON/OFF button on the top right.

    • To increase and decrease Press the top far left to decrease and the top middle to increase fan speed.

  • One of the highlights and centrepieces of our living room is the slow-burning combustion fireplace. Getawayz NSW will provide you with enough kindling, firestarters and firewood for your stay.

    On arrival, the fireplace will be set for you and there will be a fire lighting torch in the basket with the spare firefighters, kindling and wood. Simply set the fire and you will be toasty and warm in no time.

    We kindly ask that you do not remove the ash from the fireplace throughout your stay, if you can simply re-set a new fire ontop of this. Our housekeeping and styling team will look after this during the changeover.

    On the departure of your stay, if you can let us know if any of these amenities are running low, we would highly appreciate this. We will replace these for the next guests to use.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • OVEN

    Our house comes with a HAEFELE oven which is perfect for home-cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.

    The knobs on the far left controls the degrees and the control functions (fan force, grill, oven bake, etc)

    All the knobs on the right-hand side are for gas. Simply hold down and turn to the right and this will allow you to turn on the gas.

    In addition, make sure that the electrical plug on the far left of the kitchen desk is turned on because it activates the oven.

  • ELECTRICAL STOVE

    Our main home comes with a 4-burner induction stove that is extremely easy to use and operate.

    In order to use this, simply hold the power button for 3 seconds. This is located at the bottom on the right side.

    Once it is powered on you can set the level on the plus minus buttons located on either side and is designed to identify which burner it is for.

    Please note that when using our induction stove, please ensure that the pot or pan is placed on the stove before turning it on. Induction stoves require the presence of cookware on the cooking zone to function. This is because the stove needs to read which zone is covered before it can generate heat. Without the proper cookware in place, the stove won't work.

    In addition, make sure that the electrical plug on the far left of the kitchen desk is turned on because it activates the stove.

  • Our home comes with a Hafele Dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.

    The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.

    The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:

    • Simply press the On/Off button on the far left to switch on the dishwasher; a light will appear above the button to indicate that it is turned on.

    • On the right side of the on/off button, you will see the different modes for cleaning. On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

    • Select the wished program by pressing the P button.

    • Once done in order to start the program simply press the Start/Stop button on the far right.

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Delonghi Nespresso Machine and milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Please see the instructions on how to use the Nespresso Machine below:

    • Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    • On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    • Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    Please be aware that the Miele coffee machine in the kitchen is not intended for use; however, you are welcome to use the Nespresso coffee machine as often as you like.

pool area

Our home comes with a fully equipped private non heated salty pool for your comfort in the hot Australian summer. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our pool.

  • **** If you are coming from the beach, please ensure you rinse off any sand before entering the garden and going into the pool. 

    This causes the pool to become murky and blocks the cleaning system.

    Please note that glass around the pool area is strictly prohibited. If glass is found in the pool during regular maintenance, charges for draining the pool and glass collection may apply, potentially impacting your entire bond.

    Plastic glassware has been provided for poolside use. Kindly transfer any drinks in glass containers to plastic glasses before bringing them to the pool area. Thank you for your cooperation.

  • Please be aware that Getawayz NSW and the property owners assume no responsibility for accidents occurring around the pool area. The booking holder is liable for any accidents, injuries, or harm resulting from pool usage, including incidents involving children, adults, and situations related to intoxication.

  • These will be found in the pool area. For any serious accidents, please call 000 immediately. Our address is located on the booking confirmation and check-in instructions.

  • To maintain the pristine allure of our swimming pool, we rely on a cleaning robot. After every use, our diligent pool maintenance involves turning on the automated cleaning robot.

    Located in the top right corner of our backyard, you'll find a compact grey trolley housing the power system. Simply press the on/off button situated on the right side of the panel to activate the robot.

    Please note that the pool spider filter at the bottom of the pool should not be touched and should be left in the water. This helps keep the pool clean.

Home Utilities & Services

Here, you'll find bin night information, and the convenient location of your fuse box for any unexpected issues. All safety concerns are also addressed here.

Rest assured, we have taken every measure to ensure your stay is enjoyable and worry-free.

  • You are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in this home. Detergent and/or washing powder has been provided for you.

    The home features a LG combo washer dryer.

    • Open the drawer located on the far left and insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.

    • To power on the machine Simply press the middle of the Centre knob to turn the machine on/off.

    • To chose from the programs simply twist the knob to your desired programs for washing.

    • On the right hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    • To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located at the far right hand side.

  • The bins are located on the left side of the property near the outdoor small lounge past the chimney.

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Monday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Sunday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Monday. If you are checking out on Sunday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • The fuse box at this property is located on the left side of the house (facing the house).

    In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:

    • If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.

    • If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power shortages.

    We would recommend either:

    • Using the AusGrid website to check your power status.

    • Call the Origins Energy Info Hotline at +13 10 03.

    • You will need to provide your postcode 2107 for these services.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    Please be mindful to use the rangehood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.

    • There is a Fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the Under the sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    • In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

    Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

  • In the event of minor injury, a complete first aid kit is available, stored underneath the kitchen sink.

    • Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.

    • Under Federal legislation, Getawayz NSW cannot provide medical advice under any circumstances. Please do not request medical advice from our team.

    • If you need non-urgent medical advice, please call Healthline Australia at +1800 022 222.

    • In the case of a medical emergency, please call +000, and you will be assisted over the phone by medical professionals.

    If a serious injury, emergency, or near-miss occurs at your home, please notify us at your earliest convenience.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
