We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING ROOM

As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

  • Our living room comes with a Bauhn Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    • There is a smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, which will turn the tv on/off.

    • After turning on the TV, navigate between the different options (free to air and the apps) through the Home button that has a house symbol, located directly under the main selection button.

    • To select between different apps simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select.

    • Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    • Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The living area in the home is fitted with a fan.

    To use the fan use the white remote labelled “Ceiling Fan”.

    To turn on the fan press the ON/OFF button at the very bottom.

    To increase and decrease fan speed, press the top far left to decrease and the far right button to increase fan speed.

  • One of the highlights and centrepieces of our living room is the Gas fireplace.

    To use the fireplace there is a large white remote labelled Real Flame. To use the fireplace simply press the On button - it could take a few seconds but the fire will start up. To increase or decrease the temperature press the Up or Down button

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen. There are also operating manuals for the main appliances in one of the kitchen drawers under the benchtop.

  • Our home is equipped with a commercial-grade oven and a 5-burner stove top combination, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals. Here are the instructions for using the oven and stove:

    OVEN

    The knob on the far right is used to select the desired oven setting, such as fan force, grill, oven grill, bake, etc.

    The third knob from the left is for setting the oven temperature. Simply adjust the knob to the desired temperature.

    STOVE

    The stove has an automatic ‘piso’ lighter.

    The far left knob controls the top left burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.

    The second left knob controls the bottom left burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.

    The middle knob controls the middle burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.

    The third right knob controls the top right burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.

    The second right knob controls the bottom right burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.

    Please ensure to turn off the stove once you have finished using it. Happy cooking!

  • Our home is equipped with an Miele Dishwasher. We kindly request that you ensure all dishes and kitchen items are loaded into the dishwasher before your departure.

    The Getawayz NSW team will provide an ample supply of dishwashing tablets for your use (in the cupboard under the sink). Should the supply run low, please inform us, and we will replenish it for the next guests.

    Here are the instructions on how to use the dishwasher:

    Press the main power switch and close the door to turn on the dishwasher.

    Use the Program selector to choose your desired program. The corresponding symbol will light up.

    Press the Start/Stop button to initiate the selected program. The display will flash three times, indicating the program has started.

    Ensure the door is properly closed; otherwise, the dishwasher will not start. The display will indicate if the door is open.

  • Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.

    When using the Nespresso machine:

    Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the wall power point.

    There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.

    When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the handle down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.

    Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.

    If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

  • It is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

other amenities

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, friends and family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available to use throughout your stay!

  • WAHING MACHINE

    Our home is equipped with a front loader Haier washing machine for your convenience. Getawayz NSW will supply you with washing powder for your use. Here's how to operate the washing machine:

    Open the drawer located on the far left and insert the washing powder or liquid detergent into the left tray (the middle tray is for fabric softener). Close the drawer.

    Press the Power button (bottom left of the central control panel) to switch on the washing machine. Press it again for 2 seconds to switch it off.

    By pressing the Cycle button (left and right), the required program can be selected. There are 12 programs available. After a program is selected, the corresponding light will illuminate.

    Once the program is selected, press Start/Pause button to start operation. During a wash cycle, press it lightly to pause the cycle, the information on the LED screen will start to blink. Press it again to resume operation. To cancel a wash program during the cycle, press the Start/Pause button and then press the Power button.

    Press the Wash Temp button and the corresponding washing temperature light will illuminate.

    Select a temperature according to the type of laundry. Note: If there is no indicator light displayed, this means cold wash.

    DRYER

    Select one of the 2 temperature settings using the switch on the right side of the main control knob (full hot or half warm heat).

    Turn the knob control clockwise only to select the amount of drying time, then push the button on the door to start the dryer. Please do not try to dial the knob backwards (anti-clockwise)

  • The switch box at this property is located on the exterior wall along the right hand side passage of the property (when looking at the front door of the property).

    Should power not be working, please check the switches in the switch box and flick all to “on” if one of switches has flipped or has been switched to “off”.

    If all the switches are “on”, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.

    Another great option is to call AGL on 131 245 which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need to provide the postcode, which is 2088.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • There are separate internal bins for both general waste and recycling, in pull out cupboards on either side of the oven in the kitchen.

    External bins for our home are kept along the RIGHT hand side passage of the property (when looking at the front door of the property).

    Please do NOT use the bins just outside the main bedroom window on the left hand side passage which is for the use of the basement apartment only.

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Tuesday morning, so we ask that you put these out the footpath on a Monday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Tuesday. If you are checking out on a Monday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    We will send you a text reminder on the evening and if the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    Please be mindful to use the rangehood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.

    There is a Fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the cupboard next to the fridge . Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

    Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

  • In the event of minor injury, a first aid kit is available, stored in the cupboard next to the fridge.

    Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.

    Under Federal legislation, Getawayz NSW cannot provide medical advice under any circumstances. Please do not request medical advice from our team.

    If you need non-urgent medical advice, please call Healthline Australia at +1800 022 222.

    In the case of a medical emergency, please call +000, and you will be assisted over the phone by medical professionals.

    If a serious injury, emergency, or near-miss occurs at your home, please notify us at your earliest convenience.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
