Thank you for choosing to stay at Harbourview. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING ROOM

As you open the door to Harbourview House for the first time, you are welcomed by a stunning hallway adorned with both floor and ceiling lights. Your gaze is then drawn to our living room, featuring breathtaking views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Below, you'll discover key instructions on operating the main aspects of our living room.

  • Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

  • Location of Control Switch:

    The switch for the ducted system is located on the left-hand wall next to the large door for the 2nd bedroom in the living room.

    It features a dial and an LED screen.

    Turning On the System:

    Press the top button to turn on the system.

    A red LED light will appear, indicating that the system is on.

    Temperature Control:

    Under the flap, find two buttons with a temperature symbol.

    Adjust the temperature up or down using these buttons.

    The set temperature is displayed at the top of the screen.

    Mode Selection:

    The button on the top right, under the flap, indicates the selected mode (heat, cool, dry, etc.).

    The chosen mode is displayed at the top of the screen.

    Turning Off the System:

    It is recommended to turn off the ducted system when leaving the home for long periods.

    The system is efficient and takes about 10 minutes to heat the home perfectly.

    Recommended Settings:

    For heating, set the temperature between 22-23 degrees.

    For cooling, set the temperature between 18-20 degrees.

    Important Note:

    The air conditioning company will not make house callouts.

    A callout fee may be charged at the end of the stay if assistance is required.

  • Our living room comes with a Hilense Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.

    To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

    Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • Our main home comes with a Miele oven which is perfect for home cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.

    • The right knob is for setting the temperature of the oven. Simply move the knob for the desired temperature

    • The knob on the Left is to set the oven to the setting in which you wish to cook. For example, fan force, grill, oven grill, bake, etc.

  • Our main home comes with a 4-burner gas stove that is extremely easy to use and operate.

    • In order to use this, simply hold the knob down and turn to the left to get the desired heat level you are after

    • Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak

  • Pre-Departure Task:

    Ensure all dishes and kitchen items are run in the dishwasher before departure.

    Dishwashing Tablets:

    Ample dishwashing tablets will be provided by the Getawayz NSW team.

    If running low, please inform them for replacement before the arrival of the next guests.

    Turning On the Dishwasher:

    Locate the on/off button on the left-hand side of the dishwasher door.

    Hold down the on/off button for a few seconds to turn on the dishwasher.

    The LED display will activate.

    Program Selection:

    Next to the on/off button, find the "PROG" button for selecting the program.

    Choose the program by referring to the symbols above the button.

    On departure, use the "SuperQuick" cycle.

    Extra Dry Function:

    Find the extra dry button located on the middle right.

    Activate the extra dry function for improved drying performance.

    Starting the Program:

    Press the Start/Stop button on the far right to initiate the selected program.

    Housekeeping Request:

    On departure, using the "SuperQuick" cycle and the extra dry button is appreciated by the housekeeping and styling team.

    These instructions should help guests efficiently use the ASKO Dishwasher, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning. If there are any issues or if additional tablets are needed, guests are encouraged to communicate with the Getawayz NSW team for assistance.

  • A LG microwave is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Nespresso Machine and milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

  • Welcome to your home away from home! Our cozy abode is equipped with a Simpson front loader washing machine, providing you with the convenience of keeping your clothes fresh and clean throughout your stay. Getawayz NSW has taken care of your laundry needs by supplying washing powder for your use.

    Operating the washing machine is a breeze:

    Power Control:

    In the middle of the machine, you'll find two buttons. To start the washing machine, simply press the left button in. When you're done, press it again to the out position to turn it off.

    Temperature and Mode Selection:

    On the right-hand side, discover two knobs. The left knob allows you to set the desired temperature, while the right knob is for selecting the washing mode. Handy code letters on the door to the detergent guide you in choosing the appropriate mode for your laundry.

    Starting the Cycle:

    Ready to kick off the washing cycle? Just close the door, and you're good to go!

  • Welcome to your home retreat! We've provided you with the convenience of a Fisher and Paykel dryer to ensure your stay is comfortable and stress-free. Operating this essential appliance is a breeze:

    Power On:

    Locate the button on the right labeled "power."

    Simply push this button to turn on the dryer.

    Starting the Machine:

    Adjacent to the power button, find the start/pause button on the left.

    Press this button to initiate the drying cycle.

    Maintenance Note:

    For optimal performance and safety, if you find yourself using the dryer multiple times during your stay, remember to empty the lint filter after each use.

  • The fuse box at this property is located In the study nook behind the doors in the hallway.

    In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:

    If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.

    If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power shortages.

    We would recommend either:

    Using the AusGrid website to check your power status.

    Call the Origins Energy Info Hotline at +13 10 03.

    You will need to provide your postcode 2061 for these services.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • We have provided spare light bulbs and batteries in the top drawer, if your back is facing the sink in the island benchtop. If the light bulbs are running low, or the batteries, please let us know via guests@getawayz.com.au and we will replace these on your departure.

  • We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.

    Bins for our home are kept on the right hand side of the property’s building near the post boxes behind the grey door. Please do not walk them down the driveway towards the home under any circumstances.

    The outdoor garbage bins are colour coded:

    • Red lid is for general waste.

    • Yellow lid is for recyclable material.

    • Green lid is for vegetation

    Getawayz NSW requires guests staying in properties on garbage collection days to take the bins out the night before collection.

    A reminder will be sent, in addition to the information provided in this manual.

    If the bins are not taken out, waste materials are not separated, or excessive garbage is left on the property, a $100 surcharge will be taken from either the bond or via your booking platform.

  • Experience seamless entry into your home with our state-of-the-art intercom system. Located conveniently around the corner of the front door in the living room, this modern feature provides both security and ease of access. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use the intercom:

    Answering the Call:

    When your guest calls the apartment, the intercom will ring.

    Engage in conversation by simply pressing the talk button.

    Unlocking the Door:

    Grant access effortlessly by pressing the key button located on the far left side of the intercom.

    This action unlocks the door, allowing your guest to enter with ease.

    Turning Off the System:

    Conclude your interaction by clicking the off button on the far left side of the intercom to turn off the system.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
