LIVING ROOM

The main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • The Wi-Fi router is located at the bottom drawer of the entertainment unit in the living room.
    The details can be found below:

  • Both the living room and bedroom feature Sony televisions. The remote can be found in front of each TV, with a green button at the top right to power it on.

    If the living room TV isn’t displaying an image, check behind the TV unit to make sure the power and antenna cables are securely plugged in. If they’ve come loose, simply reconnect them, and the image should return.

  • The control for the air conditioning and heating is located near the TV remote. It operates as a reverse system:

    1. Turn On/Off: Press the on/off button to activate or deactivate the system.

    2. Adjust Temperature: Use the arrows in the middle of the remote—press up to increase or down to decrease the temperature. The apartment is well insulated, so 5 minutes at 25°C will quickly warm the space.

    3. Change Mode: Press the "MODE" button (top right) repeatedly until you select your desired mode (e.g., cooling, heating, or fan).

    4. Adjust Fan Speed: Use the top left button to select your preferred fan speed by clicking until you reach the desired setting.

    5. Reminder: Please remember to turn off the air conditioning when you leave the apartment.

KITCHEN

Our kitchen is well stocked and comes with all the utensils you need to cook meals at home! We ask that you take good care of any of the items in the kitchen. We know mistakes can happen, so if anything breaks, please let us know so we can replace these for you and/or our next guests!

  • Gas Oven Instructions
    Introducing our easy-to-use gas oven with intuitive controls for seamless cooking!

    • Timer (Left knob): To operate the oven, the timer must be set first. Turn the left knob to select the desired time.

    • Temperature (Middle knob): Adjust the middle knob to set your desired cooking temperature.

    • Cooking Modes (Right knob): Use the right knob to choose from different cooking modes, such as bake, broil, or grill.

    Note: All three knobs need to be set in order for the oven to turn on and function properly.

    Gas Stove Instructions

    Our home features a convenient 4-burner gas stove that's simple to use.

    • To Operate: Press and hold the knob while turning it to the left to adjust the burner to your desired heat level.

    • To Turn Off: After use, ensure the knob is turned all the way to the right to fully close the gas valve and prevent any leakage.

    Always exercise caution when using the stove to ensure safety.

  • Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided for your convenience.

    On Departure: Please use the "Quick 60" cycle and activate the extra dry button on the right. This will help our housekeeping and styling specialists with a smooth and efficient cleaning process!

  • Coffee Preparation Instructions

    Enjoy fresh coffee with these simple steps:

    1. Prepare the Water Tank: Rinse and clean the water tank and lid. Fill the tank with fresh drinking water, attach the lid, and secure the tank in place. Ensure it is properly attached.

    2. Rinse the Machine: Press the button 3 times within 2 seconds to start the rinsing process. The cycle will complete automatically. When the light turns steady white, rinsing is done.

    3. Insert the Capsule: Unlock and open the machine head completely. Insert a Vertuo capsule with the dome shape facing downward.

    4. Close and Lock: Close the machine head and lock it by turning the lever to the left into the lock position.

    5. Adjust the Cup Support: Position the cup support to fit your cup size and place your cup on it.

    6. Brew Your Coffee: Press the button once to start brewing.

    7. Remove the Capsule: Once brewing is complete, open the machine head by turning the lever to the right into the unlock position. The capsule will eject automatically.

Home Utilities & Services

In this section, we provide detailed information about the various utilities and services available for your convenience and comfort during your stay. From essential services to general safety facilities, you'll find everything you need to make your stay enjoyable and hassle-free.

  • Washing Machine Instructions

    For your stay, detergent is provided for your convenience.

    • To Start: Press the "Power On/Off" button.

    • Select a Program: Choose your desired cycle by pressing the "Programme" button.

    • Set the Temperature: Adjust the water temperature by pressing the "Water Temp" button.

    • Add Detergent: Place the detergent directly into the drum.

    • Begin the Cycle: Press the "Start/Pause" button to start the wash.

    Enjoy effortless laundry care during your stay!

    Dryer Instructions

    Our home is equipped with a dryer for your convenience during your stay.

    • To Use: Simply turn the dial to select your preferred program, and the dryer will take care of the rest.

    • Important: If you use the dryer multiple times, please remember to empty the lint filter after each use to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • The fuse box for this property is located in the kitchen, inside the cupboard above the fridge.

    Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.

    If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.

    Another great option is to call Origins Energy Info Line on 13 10 03 which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need to provide the postcode, which is 2061.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • We kindly ask all guests to dispose of garbage responsibly and sort waste materials properly.

    The building has a garbage chute just outside the apartment. To access it, turn right, open the fire door, and go down the stairs. On your right, you'll find the garbage door—simply open it to dispose of your rubbish and recycling.

    Please note, the chute is not suitable for large bags, as they may get stuck, so we provide a small bin inside the apartment. The recycling bins are located just a short walk from the apartment—less than 5 seconds away.

    The bins are color-coded as follows:

    • Red lid: General waste

    • Yellow lid: Recyclable materials

    • Green lid: Vegetation

  • FIRE

    Getawayz NSW prioritizes the safety of our guests and conducts regular fire safety inspections in all our properties.

    To ensure safety, kindly adhere to our strict 'no-smoking' policy within the house premises.

    For emergencies, there is a fire extinguisher located and fire blanket underneath the sink. If used, please inform Getawayz NSW immediately.

    In the event of a fire, please first ensure the safety of all guests and then promptly call the fire department at +000 using your phone.

    Your safety is our top priority, so please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your cooperation is appreciated.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
