House Rules
LIVING ROOM
The living room has been thoughtfully designed for both comfort and functionality. Below you’ll find the main highlights on how to operate the key features in our living room, so you can relax and make the most of your stay with ease.

Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for all your digital need

Our living room comes with a Samsung Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.
To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.
Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use
Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

Portable fans and heaters are provided in the apartment for your stay.
There are two Dyson fans, which also function as heaters, offering flexible comfort in any season. There’s also an additional portable heater available to keep the apartment warm and cosy on cooler days.
KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

Our kitchen comes with a Siemens oven which is perfect for home cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.
To begin, press the main power button located on the front panel of the oven.
Use the rotary control knob to scroll through and select your preferred cooking function.
Turn the same rotary knob to adjust the temperature.
Once you’ve set the mode and temperature, simply press the “Start” button. The oven will begin heating and your dish will start cooking.
Troubleshooting with Siemens is also available if any issues occur. Just see the User Manual.

Our home comes with a Siemens induction cooktop for you to use. Please see the directions on how to operate the stove:
Touch the Power symbol to activate the cooktop.
Use induction-compatible cookware. Place it on the cooking zone.
Touch the desired cooking zone symbol.
Slide your finger along the touchSlider to set the heat level
Touch the Power symbol to turn off the cooktop. The residual heat indicator will remain lit until the surface cools.
Troubleshooting with Siemens is also available if any issues occur. Just see the User Manual.

Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.
When using the Nespresso machine:
Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.
There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.
When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.
Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.
If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

Our home comes with an internal washing machine that is located behind the cabinet on the right side of the kitchen.
There is also a communal washer and dryer room located on the side of the building opposite the bins.
Iron and ironing board are usually kept in the kitchen closet. Please make sure to return these after use.

The home is equipped with a fridge and a freezer that are both located behind separate kitchen cabinets.

Our home comes with a dishdrawer, which is a dishwasher integrated into the kitchen cabinet and opens like a drawer. It is located on the right side of the oven, on the bottom drawer. Getawayz NSW provides dish tablets for your stay.
Using the Dishwasher:
Open the drawer fully by gently pulling the handle.
Once you have loaded the dishes, add a dishwasher tablet into the dispenser then close the lid.
Press the Power button, then select your preferred cycle.
Press Start/Pause to begin.
The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

Getawayz NSW ensures that all properties are equipped with working fire alarms and undergo regular fire safety inspections.
To minimize fire risks, please use the rangehood while cooking and adhere to the no-smoking house rule.
In the event of a fire, prioritize the safety of all guests and immediately call 000 for emergency assistance.
We also encourage you to report any near misses or incidents—your safety is our top priority!

The fuse box at this property is located in a big cupboard at the right side when you enter the front door of the building.
Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.
If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.
You can also check the AusGrid website which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need enter the address of the property.
If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials when removing trash from the home.
The bins are located on the left side of the building facing the main building entrance.

Please note that the bathroom does not have a door. It is an open entrance from the bedroom.

The apartment is located on the top floor, and there are approximately 40 stairs (5 flights) to reach the unit.

Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 8pm.

Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.
