House Rules
LIVING ROOM / flex room
Our home is a studio style apartment with water views out the large window wall. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room & flex room.

Our living room comes with a Samsung curved Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
There is once smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located directly under the main selection button.
To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select.
Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use
Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.
KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

Our home comes with a Westinghouse oven, which is perfect for home cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.
The knob on the far left is to set the oven to the setting in which you wish to cook. For example, fan force, grill, oven grill, bake, etc.
The knob on the far right is for setting the temperature of the oven. Simply twist to your desired heat level.

Our main home comes with a 2-burner cooktop that is extremely easy to use and operate.
The switch needs to be turned on for the stovetop.
In order to use this, simply turn to the left to get the desired heat level you are after
Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the “off” position as to turn off the system.
WARNING: The stove will remain hot for at least 5 minutes after use / it’s been turned off.

Our home comes with a Dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.
The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.
The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:
On the right side of the dishwasher there is a screen with three buttons below.
In order to turn on the dishwasher, simply Press the left button to turn the washer On/Off.
Once the drawer is open on the top right, you will see the different modes for cleaning. To select your mode press the left button until the red LED is on your mode. Once you have selected your mode close the dishwasher and press the start button located on the far right. On departure, we ask that you use the “Fast” cycle located on the right side of the screen. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!
To start the machine press the right button below the front screen.

Our kitchen comes complete with a Delonghi Nespresso Machine and Smeg milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.
On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.
On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). To power the machine simply press either button and it will turn on the machine. The buttons will flash until ready to be used.
Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the black latch down. This will make your coffee.
Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

Ensure the appliance is plugged in and switched on by the wall.
Fill the carafe with reference to the level indicators inside the carafe, and place lid on before operation.
Twist the knob to to select the desired program, and simply press the Start/Stop button to start the cycle.
After use please ensure to rinse the carafe and dry before placing back in the base.

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

For your convenience, coin-operated communal washing machines and dryers are available at the back of the building, with a fee of $3 per use, should you wish to clean and dry your clothes.

The fuse box at this property is located in the cupbord closest to the front door.
Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.
If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage.
Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.
We would recommend either:
Using the Ausgrid Website to check for any known outages in the area.
Or call their hotline number: 13 13 88 to report an outage.
If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

Bins for our home are kept on the right side of the stairs to the main building next to the mail boxes.
The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.
Bins are collected Tuesday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Monday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Monday. If you are checking out on Monday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.
If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

For issues during your stay, please call us on 0480 801 294.
Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.
Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.

Getawayz NSW ensures that every property is equipped with functional fire alarms and undergoes regular fire safety inspections.
Please remember to use the kitchen range hood and adhere to the 'no-smoking' policy.
A fire extinguisher and fire blanket are located under the sink for emergencies. If either is used, please notify Getawayz NSW.
In the event of a fire, prioritize the safety of all guests in the home and then call the fire department immediately at +000.
Report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is our top priority!
