We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING ROOM

Our home features open-plan living room, dining and kitchen. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

  • Our living room comes with a Kogan Google Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.

    To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

    Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The living/dining and bedrooms on the main first floor has a Daikin deducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle.Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    If you would like to change the mode use the button “MODE” on the top left. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

    To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed

    You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • There are 3 dials along the top which control the oven.

    The right knob allows you to effortlessly adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs.

    With this intuitive design, cooking becomes a pleasure, and creating culinary masterpieces has never been easier.

  • Our main home comes with a 4-burner induction stove that is extremely easy to use and operate.

    In order to use this, simply turn the desired knoob on the right hand side of the stove.

    Once it is powered on you can set the level on the plus minus buttons located on either side and is designed to identify which burner it is for.

    Please note that when using our induction stove, please ensure that the pot or pan is placed on the stove before turning it on. Induction stoves require the presence of cookware on the cooking zone to function. This is because the stove needs to read which zone is covered before it can generate heat. Without the proper cookware in place, the stove won't work.

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Nespresso Machine and milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

  • A Samsung microwave is found in the drawer next to the fridge. It is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

other amenities

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

  • For your convenience, coin-operated communal washing machines and dryers are available at the back of the building, with a fee of $3 per use, should you wish to clean and dry your clothes.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that every property is equipped with functional fire alarms and undergoes regular fire safety inspections.

    Please remember to use the kitchen range hood and adhere to the 'no-smoking' policy.

    A fire extinguisher and fire blanket are located under the sink for emergencies. If either is used, please notify Getawayz NSW.

    In the event of a fire, prioritize the safety of all guests in the home and then call the fire department immediately at +000.

    Report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is our top priority!

  • The fuse box at this property is located in the front wall after entering the home.

    Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”. There is a torch located in the laundry (middle door of the pantry), on the trolley next to the washer and dryer.

    If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.

    We would recommend either:

     Using the Ausgrid Website to check for any known outages in the area.

    Or call their hotline number:  13 13 88 to report an outage.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Bins for our home are kept on the right side of the stairs to the main building next to the mail boxes.

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Tuesday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Monday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Monday. If you are checking out on Monday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • For issues during your stay, please call us on 0480 801 294.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
