Welcome To the bay retreat
Thank you for choosing to stay at “The Bay Retreat”. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!
For any queries throughout your stay, please contact us, and include the property code “SYD009” in your message. You can reach us at guests@getawayz.com.au, or via your booking platform.
We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

House Rules
LIVING Space
As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

Our living room comes with a Sonny Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.
To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use
Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

The living/dining and bedrooms on the main first floor has a Daikin ducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.
Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature
To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.
If you would like to change the mode use the button on the left of the fan logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.
To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed
You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.
KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

To use the oven:
The right knob allows you to effortlessly adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs. With this intuitive design, cooking becomes a pleasure, and creating culinary masterpieces has never been easier.
GAS STOVE
This gas stove is operated by dials located along the bottom.
Experience effortless cooking with our stove's five knobs – two on the left and three on the right. Simply press, hold, and turn left to set your desired flame level. It's cooking made easy.
Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak

Our microwave is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.
When using the Nespresso machine:
Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.
There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.
When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.
Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.
If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

This property is equipped with an MIELE automatic dishwasher. Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided.
To operate this dishwasher, please:
To power on the dishwasher press the power button on the far right.
To select the mode turn the knob.
To start the machine press the Start/Pause button on the left, a red light on the right corner will turned on.
On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 40” cycle.Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!
Home Utilities & Services
Here, you'll find bin night information, and the convenient location of your fuse box for any unexpected issues. All safety concerns are also addressed here.
Rest assured, we have taken every measure to ensure your stay is enjoyable and worry-free.

You are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in this home. Detergent and washing powder has been provided for you.
MIELE WASHING MACHINE
Our home comes with a front loader MIELE washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:
Please ensure that the washing machine is set to the 800 speed level before starting it to prevent excessive shaking.
Insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.
To power on the machine there is a power button on the right side of the knob. Simply press to turn the machine on/off and you will see the screen turning on.
To chose from the programs simply twist the knob in the middle to your desired programs for washing.
On the left hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.
MIELE DRYER
To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located at the right side of the knob.
To power on the machine simply twist the knob in the middle. This also serves as the programs option therefore, twist to your desired drying program.
To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located on the right side of the screen.

Heating/Cooling
Every bedroom has a Daikin ducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home. The main panel is located on the right side at the top level of the stairs.

We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.
If you can empty all the sanitary bins in the bathrooms, as well as take out the rubbish and put it in the outside bins located on the right side of the property facing it.

The fuse box for this property is located above the fridge in the kitchen.
In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:
If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.
If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.
Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.
We would recommend either:
Using the Ausgrid Website to check for any known outages in the area.
Or call their hotline number: 13 13 88 to report an outage.
If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.
FIRE EQUIPMENT
There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.
In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.
