Unwind and indulge in the ultimate entertainment experience with our smart TV. Enjoy easy viewing of your favourite shows and movies with just a few clicks.
This property has a Hisense-brand Smart TV.
It is operated by a single remote, and has free-to-air television available.
Troubleshooting for the television is available here, if needed.
Please also note:
You are welcome to sign into your own streaming service accounts, but please remember to sign out when you depart.
Hisense Smart TVs are also installed in two of the bedrooms.

This room is outfitted with both a gas fireplace, and air-conditioning (A/C).
The A/C unit is controlled via a white-coloured remote, with visual cues on its display screen to help you heat or cool the room.
The electric fireplace control panel is on the front of the unit underneath the cover.
For safety reasons, please do not leave the gas fireplace on when you are not at the property.
KITCHEN
Welcome to the inviting kitchen of Waratah Cottage - a charming blend of rustic elements and modern amenities. Ample natural light, state-of-the-art appliances, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a place where memories are made, and where delicious meals bring people together.

This kitchen is outfitted with an oven for your use:
To use the Bosch-brand oven:
Select your cooking mode using the dial on the left.
Select your temperature using the dial on your right.
Set a timer using the screen in the centre.
Troubleshooting with Bosch is also available here if any issues occur.

This stove is operated by using a display screen on the stovetop. To use the Bosch-brand induction stovetop:
Turn on the stove using the power button on your left.
Select your burner/s on the display, and adjust temperature using the +/- buttons.
Use the button on your right to set a timer, and the +/- buttons to adjust the timing.
If you are unable to press any buttons, ensure the child lock is disabled. To disable it, turn the power on, and then hold down the “lock” button (to the right of the power button).
Troubleshooting with Bosch is also available here, if needed.

A rangehood is installed above the stovetop. Please use this when cooking:
Two switches on the underside of this rangehood control ventilation.
The rangehood light switch sits between the two ventilation switches.

Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.
When using the Nespresso machine:
Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.
There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.
When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.
Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.
If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

This property is equipped with an automatic dishwasher. Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided.
To operate this Fisher & Paykel brand dishwasher, please:
Stack dishes, glasses, and cutlery neatly, without overfilling.
Turn the power on (button on your left), and then select your desired program.
Add appropriate detergent, and then start the program (button on your right). This button will also pause the program if pressed again.
Troubleshooting can be found here, if needed.
Before you check out, please start a wash cycle for any dirty dishes. Our team will put them away, so you don’t need to wait for this cycle to finish.

This home is fully stocked with cooking utensils, equipment, and cutlery.
It also has the following appliances:Combination fridge and freezer.
Microwave.
Toaster.
Kettle.
Please note that the fridge is currently not dispensing ice, but ice trays have been provided. If the fridge runs out of water, this can be refilled on the inside of the left door.
Outdoors
A Spacious garden boasts both a BBQ and firepit. Delight in the joys of grilling scrumptious meals, and as the sun sets, gather around the cozy firepit to share stories and relax under the starry sky.

A gas BBQ is available for your use. A gas tank is connected, and a second one is available if required. To operate the BBQ:
Start the gas flow by loosening the knob of the gas tank.
Select gas flow on the BBQ dial, and ignite using the ignition button.
When finished, turn off the gas flow for the BBQ and the gas tank.
We request that you clean the BBQ before your departure, to avoid additional fees. Please notify us if you need to swap the gas tank, so we can replace this promptly.

A fire pit is available for your use. Wood, kindling, and matches are all supplied.
Before you have an outside fire, you must check the NSW Rural Fire Service website www.rfs.nsw.gov.auto determine if you can light a fire. You must adhere to any fire bans.
If there is no fire ban, please build fires responsibly and do not light a fire in extremely windy, hot or dry conditions even if there is no fire ban.
Please do not leave a burning fire unattended. -
Waratah Cottage has a large, flat garden, with perfect grass coverage.
The log throwing game, Finska, is available for your use, and is playable for 2 - 8 players. Instructions can be found here.

Here, you'll find bin night information, and the convenient location of your fuse box for any unexpected issues. All safety concerns are also addressed here.
Rest assured, we have taken every measure to ensure your stay is enjoyable and worry-free.

You are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in this home. Detergent and/or washing powder has been provided for you.
A Bosch front-loader washing machine is available for use:
Load clothes in, then place your detergent/powder in either the product drawer (top left), or directly onto your clothes.
Using the dial in the centre of the machine, select the setting most appropriate for your clothing.
Make any adjustments as needed on the screen (right of the dial), and then start your wash cycle.
A clothes line and pegs are available to air-dry your wet clothes. This property does not have a machine dryer.
An iron and ironing board are available to use at this property.

This property has 3 bedrooms, and can sleep up to 5 people total.
Each bedroom is outfitted with a heater, that can be controlled by turning a switch on/off.
An electric blanket is also on each bed. Please select your heating setting and turn on 2 hours before bed, and turn off when you plan to sleep.
For safety reasons, please do not leave the bedroom heaters or electric blankets on when you are not at the property.

We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.
The bins for this property are located on the right-hand side facing next to the wood fence and need to be placed at the curb EVERY SUNDAY EVENING.
The outdoor garbage bins are colour coded:
Red lid is for general waste.
Yellow lid is for recyclable material.
Green lid is for vegetation.
Getawayz NSW requires guests staying in properties on garbage collection days to take the bins out the night before collection.
A reminder will be sent, in addition to the information provided in this manual.
If the bins are not taken out, waste materials are not separated, or excessive garbage is left on the property, a $100 surcharge will be taken from either the bond or via your booking platform.

The fuse box at this property is located on the outer wall of the home, to the right of the driveway (near the garbage bins).
In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:
If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.
If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.
Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.
We would recommend either:
Using the Endevour Energy website to check for any known outages in the area.

If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.
Please be mindful to use the rangehood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.
There is a fire blanket & extinguisher underneath the laundry sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.
In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.
Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

In the event of minor injury, a complete first aid kit is available, stored underneath the kitchen sink.
Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.
Under Federal legislation, Getawayz NSW cannot provide medical advice under any circumstances. Please do not request medical advice from our team.

In the case of a medical emergency, please call +000, and you will be assisted over the phone by medical professionals.
If a serious injury, emergency, or near-miss occurs at your home, please notify us at your earliest convenience.
