Welcome To Lauretana House & Cottage

Thank you for choosing to stay at Lauretana House & Cottage. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

For any queries throughout your stay, please contact us, and include the property code “SHC015” in your message. You can reach us at guests@getawayz.com.au, or via your booking platform.

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING ROOM

As you first open the door to Lauretana House, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, living and kitchen room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

    Network Name (2.4GHz): Wifi-0213

    If the 5G network is not working, we highly recommend connecting to the 2.4GHz network instead

  • Lauretana House comes with a power ducted system for heating and cooling. It’s perfect for those toasty Summer days.

    The location of the switch for the ducted system is located on the right hand wall between the dining room buffet and the kitchen. It’s the control system with the dial and the LED screen.

    Operating the system is very easy, please see the instructions below:

    • The top button will turn on the system, with the LED screen going slightly blue to indicate this was on.

    • The dial at the bottom of the system will allow you to turn the temperature either up or down. To see the temperature you have set, you can locate this at the top of the screen.

    • The blue button with “M” on it will indicate the mide you have selected. The mode you have selected will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

    We ask that you turn off the ducted system when leaving our home for long periods of time. The system is extremely efficient and only takes around 10 minutes to perfectly heat our home!

    For the heat setting, we recommend this to be set at 22-23 degrees, and for cooling we recommend this to be set between 18-20 degrees.

    Please do not use the “FR” button on the system as this will alter the settings and functions. This will interfere with the system and could affect your stay. The heating company will not make house call outs and you may be charged for a callout fee at the end of your stay.

  • One of the highlights and centrepieces of our living room is the slow-burning combustion fireplace. Getawayz NSW will provide you with enough kindling, firestarters and firewood for your stay.

    On arrival, the fireplace will be set for you and there will be a fire lighting torch in the basket with the spare firefighters, kindling and wood. Simply set the fire and you will be toasty and warm in no time.

    We kindly ask that you do not remove the ash from the fireplace throughout your stay, if you can simply re-set a new fire ontop of this. Our housekeeping and styling team will look after this during the changeover.

    On the departure of your stay, if you can let us know if any of these amenities are running low, we would highly appreciate this. We will replace these for the next guests to use.

  • Our living room features a Samsung picture frame TV.

    • The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, which turns the TV on or off.

    • To navigate between options (free-to-air and apps), use the Home button with a house icon.

    • To select an app, scroll through and press the middle button to choose your preferred streaming platform.

    Please note:

    • We do not provide Netflix or other accounts. You will need to log into your own accounts.

    • Remember to log out before departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional charges or payments if you forget to log out.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • Our main home comes with a 60cm Smeg oven which is perfect for home cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.

    • The knob on the far left needs to be left on at the 11 o’clock position. If this is not turned, the oven will not work! Please make sure this is left as is.

    • The middle knob is for setting the temperature of the oven. Simply move the knob for the desired temperature

    • The knob on the far right is to set the oven to the setting in which you wish to cook. For example, fan force, grill, oven grill, bake, etc.

  • Our main home comes with a 5-burner gas stove that is extremely easy to use and operate.

    • In order to use this, simply hold the knob down and turn to the left to get the desired heat level you are after

    • Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak

  • Our home comes with a Bosch Dishwasher (as pictured in the photo to the right). We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.

    The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.

    The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:

    • In order to turn on the dishwasher, simply open it up and you will see a touch pad on the top of the drawer for the dishwasher.

    • When open, the on/off button is on the left hand side. Simply hold this down for a few seconds and this will turn on the dishwasher for you.

    • Next to the on/off button, you will see the different modes for cleaning. On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

  • Our home comes with a front loader Fisher and Paykel washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Getawayz NSW will provide you with washing powder for you to use. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:

    • On the top left of the machine you will see the power button. Simply hold for 3 seconds to turn the machine on/off

    • Under the “smart touch cycles” you will see all the different programs you can select for washing. Simply select the one you are wishing to use.

    • From there, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    • To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button.

  • Our home comes with a Fisher and Paykel dryer for you to use throughout your stay. It’s one of the easiest white goods in the home to use.

    • Simply push and turn the dial in order to start this. Turn the dial to your selected program and the dryer will do the rest!

    • If using this multiple times throughout your stay, please make sure to empty the lint filter after each use!

other amenities

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

  • Our Gas BBQ is located on the lower level of our outdoor entertaining area and is perfect for family entertaining.

    We provide a gas bottle which will be connected for you throughout your stay and there will be a spare located on the left side of the home if you need to switch this over.

    If you do replace the gas, please let Getawayz NSW know and we will make sure to change this over when you have departed.

    We ask if you use the BBQ, this must be cleaned prior to your departure. If this is not done, an additional $50 surcharge will be charged from the bond or claimed via the platform you have booked the home,

  • The fuse box at this property is located on the right hand side of the property (when looking at the front of the property, where the stairs lead you to the front door), behind the white gate.

    Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”. There is a torch located in the laundry (middle door of the pantry), on the trolley next to the washer and dryer.

    If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.

    We would recommend either:

    Using the Endevour Energy website to check for any known outages in the area.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • We have provided spare light bulbs and batteries in the top drawer, if your back is facing the sink in the island benchtop. If the light bulbs are running low, or the batteries, please let us know via guests@getawayz.com.au and we will replace these on your departure.

  • The bins are located by the entrance gate. Please do not walk them down the driveway towards the home under any circumstances.

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Friday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Thursday evening (if you are staying on a Thursday night) and collect these from the street if you are staying on Friday. If you are checking out on Friday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    • For issues during your stay, please call us on 0480 801 294.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.

Lauretana pool

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • Lights around pool & path to pool:

    • To turn on the lights for the pool, as you enter the backdoor between the pantry and kitchen, go down the stairs on the left-hand side closest to the cottage. From there you will see the switches to turn the pool lights on and off.

    Cottage Light Pool:

    • On the right-hand wall of the cottage, as you walk down from the house, there is a light to the pool area. The switch is located just above the hedgeline.

  • Glass around the pool is strictly prohibbited. If any glass is found in the pool by our poolman when doing regular maintenance, you will be charged for draining the pool and the collection of all glass. This could amount to the entire bond paid for the home.

    We have provided plastic glassware for use by the pool. If you are drinking champagne or something that comes in glass, please pour this into the plastic glasses prior to taking this down to the pool

  • Getawayz NSW and the owners of the premises accept no liability for any accidents surrounding the pool. The booking holder accepts all liability for any accidents, harm or serious injury that come from using the pool. This includes all children, adults as well as any accidents due to intoxication.

  • These will be found in the pool area. For any serious accidents, please call 000 immediately. Our address is located on the booking confirmation and check-in instructions email.

COTTAGE

LIVING ROOM

As you first open the door to Lauretana Cottage, you are first welcomed into the living space. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the features of the living room:

  • Our living room comes with an LG Smart TV which has access to a Google Chromecast. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV:

    • The remote labelled “LG” will operate the tv.

    • When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the Google Chromecast) is through the “input” button, located directly under the on button.

    • HDMI 3 - Google Chromecast. If you wish to use streaming services other than Netflix, use the Chromecast.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • Our cottage comes with a 90cm Smeg oven which is perfect for home-cooked meals. Please see the instructions below on how to use the oven.

    • The knobs on the far left controls the degrees and the control functions (fan force, grill, oven bake, etc)

    • All the knobs on the right-hand side are for gas. Simply hold down and turn to the right and this will allow you to turn on the gas.

  • Our home comes with a Smeg Dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.

    The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.

    The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:

    • In order to turn on the dishwasher, simply touch on the power button on the left hand side.

    • When open, the on/off button is on the left hand side. Simply hold this down for a few seconds and this will turn on the dishwasher for you.

    • Next to the on/off button, you will see the different modes for cleaning. On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Delonghi Nespresso Machine and milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Please see the instructions on how to use the Nespresso Machine below:

    • Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    • On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    • Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    • Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

  • Our home comes with a front loader LG washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Getawayz NSW will provide you with washing powder for you to use. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:

    • On the bottom right of the control pad, you will see the on button. Simply click this and it will turn the machine on and make a sound notifying you.

    • The dial in the middle, will show you all the different programs you can select for washing. Simply select the one you are wishing to use.

    • From there, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    • To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button.

  • Our home comes with a Fisher and Paykel dryer for you to use throughout your stay. It’s one of the easiest white goods in the home to use.

    • On the right hand side in the middle, you will see the on button. Simply press this to turn the dryer on.

    • There is a plus and minus button for the temperature as well as the duration of the cycle

    • Once you have selected what you are wanting to use, simply press the start/stop button to either start or stop the cycle.
