Thank you for choosing to stay at Alderwood Homestead. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

House Rules
LIVING ROOM 1
As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

Our living room comes with a Hinense Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.
To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use
Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.
KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

The right knob allows you to adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs.
The timer feature is located above the oven glass. Where you can adjust the timer by touching the plus or minus button.

This is a 90cm boshc induction stove. It is operated by touching the on button located along the bottom of the stove. Make sure the range switch is flicked on. The switch is located on the wall behind the stove.
Once turned on place you’re induction friendly pots or pans on you’re desired stove top. Use the red crosses displayed to pick which stove you want on. Select numbers 1-10 to set the heat. 10 being the hottest. For any other features including timers and boost mode. Use the red option bar located at the bottom of the stove.
Once done, please make sure the you turn the stove off by holding the on/off area, and flick the switch back off.

A PANASONIC microwave is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.
When using the Nespresso machine:
Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.
There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.
When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.
Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.
If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

Our home comes with a Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.
The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.
The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:
Simply press the on button located on the right side of the dishwasher; a light will appear above the button to indicate that it is turned on.
On the right of the on button, you will see the button for browsing the different modes for cleaning.
Once done in order to start the program simply press the Start/Stop button on the left right.

To turn the fireplace on, ensure that the switch is flicked on before using the remote. The switch is located on the right of the fireplace around the side of the wall.
then press the power button on the remote. When you see the orange screen appear, press the power button again and listen for a beep. Give it a few seconds and the flame gas will light.
Please ensure to flick the switch off when leaving for long periods of time.

To turn on the solar powered air conditioner, press the orange on/off button while facing the remote towards the air con. Listen for a beep to ensure it is responding.
To change the temperature, settings or modes. Refer to the blue buttons and press the desired setting to browse the options.
BUNK ROOM
As you make you’re way past living room ||, you are greeted by our spacious bunk room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our bunk room.

Our bunk room comes with a samsung TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

Ensure the heater is plugged into a outlet. Once plugged in, touch the on bottom located on the side of the heater.
To adjust the temperature and modes, refer to the buttons below the on button. The heater also has a ECO friendly mode if you wish to use it.
Please ensure that the heater is turned off at the outlet when leaving the property for long periods of time.
other amenities
Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

Our home comes with a front loader washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:
Insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.
To power on the machine there is a power button on the right side of the knob. Simply press to turn the machine on/off and you will see the screen turning on.
To chose from the programs simply twist the knob in the middle to your desired programs for washing.
On the left hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

To start the cycle, simply turn the knob.
To power on the machine simply twist the knob in the middle. This also serves as the programs option therefore, twist to your desired drying program.
To start the cycle, simply press the play/pause button located at the far right hand side.

Our Gas BBQ is located on our outdoor entertaining area off the kitchen and is perfect for family entertaining.
We provide a gas bottle which will be connected for you throughout your stay.
If you do replace the gas, please let Getawayz NSW know and we will make sure to change this over when you have departed.
To operate the BBQ please follow the instructions bellow:
IGNITING
Open the lid and turn on the gas supply.
Turn the burner control knobs and push the ignition button to light the BBQ.
Once lit, adjust the burners to your desired temperature using the control knobs.
For more detailed information please refer to the instruction on the right side of the knob.

The bar is located on the left of living room ||. The bar includes cordials, glasses and a mini fridge filled with goods. There will be no alcohol provided at this bar.
Feel free to bring you’re own and live out that bar tender dream!
Please ensure that you take all alcohol and belongings with you when leaving the homestead.

Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.
Please be mindful to use the rangehood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.
There is a Fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the Under the sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.
In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.
Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

The fuse box at this property is located on the right side of the house (facing the house).
In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:
If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.
If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.
Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.
We would recommend either:
Using the Endevour Energy website to check for any known outages in the area.

If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

Bins for our home are kept on the left hand side of the house next to the water tank.
The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.
Bins are collected Thursday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Wednesday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Thursday. If you are checking out on Wednesday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.
If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.
Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
