Thank you for choosing to stay at “Equinox”. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING Space

As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • This home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for all your digital needs:

    Network name: Equinox

    Network Password: Equ1n0xStay2024!

  • Our living room comes with a '“Linsar Smart TV” which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.

    To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

    Please also note:

    • Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    • Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The living/dining and bedrooms on the main first floor has a Daikin deducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    If you would like to change the mode use the button on the left of the fan logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

    To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed

    You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.

  • One of the highlights and centrepieces of our living room is the fireplace which adds a touch of coziness and character to the space.

    Firewood and fire starters are to the left of the fire place and we will provide sufficient firewood for your stay, but should you need any additional firewood, you are welcome to buy some from Bunnings Mittagong which is only about a 6 minute drive from the home.

    IMPORTANT:

    Please ensure the fireplace door is always closed.

    Please also note, that the fireplace door and handle can get very hot and you need to use this with caution if you are topping up the firewood.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • Our main home features a user-friendly 4-burner induction stove.

    To operate it, simply press and hold the power button, located at the bottom right.

    Once it's ‘on’, you can adjust the temperature using the touch bars positioned at the bottom.

    Please remember to place the pot or pan on the stove before turning it on, as induction stoves require cookware on the cooking zone to activate. The stove reads the covered zone and generates heat accordingly—without the proper cookware in place, it won’t function.

    Also, ensure that the electrical switch on the far left of the kitchen counter is turned on, as this powers the stove.

  • Cooking functions

    1. On the clock screen, press the control knob on a left side to access the main menu.

    2. Turn the control knob to the right or left to select cooking functions from the main menu.

    3. Press the control knob to confirm.

    4. Turn the control knob to select the required function.

    5. Press the knob to confirm the selection.

  • A Panasonic microwave is found in the drawer au dessus du four.

    It is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

  • Every Getawayz home is equipped with a coffee machine and milk frother. Complimentary ground coffee are provided for your visit.

    When using the coffee machine:

    • Remove the lid by pulling it upwards, then remove the tank & fill the tank

    • Switch on the coffee machine by pressing the ON/OFF switch: the lights of the three buttons will flash in sequence.

    • Insert the filter for ground coffee in the filter holder, choosing between the one-cup filter and two cup filter.

    • Tamp down the ground coffee using with a spoon.

    • Position the cup(s) under the filter holder spouts and press one cup or two cup dispense button.

  • This property features a WESTINGHOUSE automatic dishwasher, with dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder provided for your convenience.

    To operate the dishwasher:

    • Press the power button on the far left to turn it on.

    • Choose your desired mode by pressing one of the four buttons in the middle.

    • Press the Start/Pause button on the far right to begin the cycle.

    Before departure, we kindly ask that you use the "Daily 60" cycle. Our housekeeping and styling team will greatly appreciate it!

Home Utilities & Services

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

  • You're welcome to wash and dry your clothes during your stay. Detergent and washing powder are provided for your convenience.

    BEKO WASHING MACHINE

    Our home is equipped with a Beko front-loading washing machine for you to use. Here's how to operate it:

    • Insert washing powder or detergent into the left tray, then close it.

    • To power on the machine, press the power button on the far right. The screen will light up when the machine is on.

    • Select a wash program by twisting the knob in the middle to your desired setting.

    • On the right side, you’ll find options for the selected cycle, including wash temperature, water level, and spin speed.

    BEKO DRYER

    • To power on the dryer, twist the knob in the middle, which also selects the drying program. Turn it to choose your desired setting.

    • Start the cycle by pressing the start/pause button located on the far right side of the knob.

  • Our bedrooms are equipped with easy-to-use fans, controlled by a sleek white remote. To turn on the fan, simply press the top left button. You can easily adjust the fan speed using the numbered buttons to decrease or increase the intensity.

  • Experience outdoor grilling at its best with our BBQ and grill.

    To grill, just turn the lower knob to set your desired heat. When it’s time for BBQ, use the upper knob in the same manner to reach your preferred temperature.

    After cooking, please ensure the knob is turned all the way to the right to prevent any gas leaks.

    If you need to replace the gas, kindly inform Getawayz NSW so we can facilitate a smooth transition upon your departure.

  • We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.

    If you can empty all the sanitary bins in the bathrooms, as well as take out the rubbish and put it in the outside bins located on the left side of the driveway (facing it) and need to be placed at the Front of the house EVERY TUESDAY EVENING.

    The outdoor garbage bins are colour coded:

    • Red lid is for general waste.

    • Yellow lid is for recyclable material.

    • Green lid is for vegetation

    Getawayz NSW requires guests staying in properties on garbage collection days to take the bins out the night before collection.

    A reminder will be sent, in addition to the information provided in this manual.

    If the bins are not taken out, waste materials are not separated, or excessive garbage is left on the property, a $100 surcharge will be taken from either the bond or via your booking platform.

  • The fuse box for this property is located on the left hand side of the property (facing it).

    In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:

    • If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.

    • If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.

    We would recommend either:

    Using the Endevour Energy website to check for any known outages in the area.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    FIRE EQUIPMENT

    • There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the sink and another fire set up equipment under the BBQ, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    • In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

    Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

    Please note that Getawayz NSW and the owner take no responsibility or liability for any accidents (whether booked guests or day visitors) for any accidents with the stairs. Guests are to make sure to use appropriately and accept all liability for any accidents.

  • In the event of minor injury, a complete first aid kit is available, stored underneath the kitchen sink.

    • Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.

    • Under Federal legislation, Getawayz NSW cannot provide medical advice under any circumstances. Please do not request medical advice from our team.

    • If you need non-urgent medical advice, please call Healthline Australia at +1800 022 222.

    • In the case of a medical emergency, please call +000, and you will be assisted over the phone by medical professionals.

    If a serious injury, emergency, or near-miss occurs at your home, please notify us at your earliest convenience.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    • For issues during your stay, please call us on 0480 801 294.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
