Welcome To GONE SURFING

Thank you for choosing to stay at “Gone Surfing”. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!

For any queries throughout your stay, please contact us, and include the property code “CC010” in your message. You can reach us at guests@getawayz.com.au, or via your booking platform.

We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING Space

As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • This home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for all your digital needs:

  • Our living room comes witha Samsung Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.

    When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.

    To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

    Please also note:

    • Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    • Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

  • The living/dining and bedrooms on the main first floor has a Daikin Inverted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.

    • Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature

    • To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle.Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.

    • If you would like to change the mode use the button “MODE” on the top left. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.

    • To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed

    • You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • This kitchen is outfitted with an PRENA oven for your use:

    To use the oven:

    First you will have to turn the oven power on located on the corner left of the wall facing the stove.

    The right knob allows you to effortlessly adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs. With this intuitive design, cooking becomes a pleasure, and creating culinary masterpieces has never been easier.

    ELECTRICAL STOVE

    This electrical stove is operated by dials located along the oven.

    Experience effortless cooking with our stove's 4 knobs – two on the left and three on the right. Simply turn eft to set your desired temperature level. It's cooking made easy.

    Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible.

  • Our AKAI microwave is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right-side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

  • Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.

    When using the Nespresso machine:

    • Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.

    • There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.

    • When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.

    • Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.

    If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

  • This property is equipped with an Stirling automatic dishwasher. Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided.

    To operate this dishwasher, please:

    • To power on the dishwasher press the power button on the far left.

    • To select the mode press the P button until you select the one whised.

    • To start the machine press the Start/Pause button on the far right.

    On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

Home Utilities & Services

Here, you'll find bin night information, and the convenient location of your fuse box for any unexpected issues. All safety concerns are also addressed here.

Rest assured, we have taken every measure to ensure your stay is enjoyable and worry-free.

  • You are welcome to wash and dry your clothes in this home. Detergent and washing powder has been provided for you.

    WESTINGHOUSE WASHING MACHINE

    Our home comes with a front loader Samsung washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:

    • Insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.

    • To power on the machine there is a power button on the side of the knob. Simply press to turn the machine on/off and you will see the screen turning on.

    • To chose from the programs simply twist the knob in the middle to your desired programs for washing.

    • On the right hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

  • Two bedrooms are equipped with easy-to-operate fans controlled by a sleek white remote. To start the fan, simply press any button on the remote.

    Adjust the fan speed effortlessly choosing one of the 3 modes provide such as Low, Med and HI.

  • Enjoy outdoor grilling at its finest with our BBQ and grill. For grilling, simply turn the lower knob to set your desired heat. When BBQ is on the menu, use the middle knob in the same way to achieve your preferred temperature.

    Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak. in addition the gas is plugged in so you will never have to replace it!

  • We ask that all guests appropriately dispose of their garbage, and sort waste materials appropriately when removing trash from the home.

    The bins for this property are located in the back courtyard on the left side of the house (facing the house) and need to be placed at the Front of the house EVERY FRIDAY EVENING. Please walk these around the side street and not through the house.

    The outdoor garbage bins are colour coded:

    • Red lid is for general waste.

    • Yellow lid is for recyclable material.

    • Green lid is for vegetation

    Getawayz NSW requires guests staying in properties on garbage collection days to take the bins out the night before collection.

    A reminder will be sent, in addition to the information provided in this manual.

    If the bins are not taken out, waste materials are not separated, or excessive garbage is left on the property, a $100 surcharge will be taken from either the bond or via your booking platform.

  • The fuse box for this property is located in the right side facing the property.

    In the case of a complete or partial power outage, please check the fuse box:

    • If any switches are flipped into the ‘off’ position, flip them back to an ‘on’ position.

    • If all switches are on, and no changes occur, then this is most likely an issue with the power supply.

    Unfortunately, there is nothing Getawayz NSW can do to rectify external power outages.

    We would recommend either:

     Using the Ausgrid Website to check for any known outages in the area.

    Or call their hotline number:  13 13 88 to report an outage.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    • For issues during your stay, please call us on 0480 801 294.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
