House Rules
MaIN HOME
LIVING ROOM
As you ascend the stairs to the second level, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, living and kitchen room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

Our homes comes with a Mitsubishi ducted air-conditioning system.
The touchscreen control panel for this is located on the wall by the stairs.
The on and off button is the bottom left corner of the screen.
The button next to it controls the modes i.e Cool, Dry, Fan, Auto & Heat.
You can adjust the temperature by clicking the up and down buttons next to the displayed temperature.
The 3rd button at the bottom of the screen changes the fan speed.
You can click the “Zones” button to turn on/off the aircon system in different parts of the home.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please turn off the air-conditioning system when you go out or leave the home.

Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan for additional comfort. Please see the below instructions on how to use them:
The fan button on the wall should be turned on before you can turn the fan on from the remote.
Use the “Lucci” remotes to control the ceiling fans.
Press the on/off button on the remote
The roman numerals at the top control the fan speed (I - slowest setting & VI - fastest setting)
You can use the button under the speed control to change the spinning direction of the fan.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
It may take a couple of seconds for the fan to start up and slow down.
The light button on the remote is redundant.

Our living room comes with a Samsung Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before using the smart features on the TV’s, you will need to connect them to the wifi before every use.
First have to unplug the power code from the wifi modem, which is on the right side of the TV in the living room.
Then plug it back in and wait for 5 minutes or so.
Once you turn the TV on, it may automatically connect to the wifi or it may prompt you to enter the wifi details again.
There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (Samsung TV Plus and the applications) is by using the home button in the middle of the remote. *Samung TV Plus is for free-to-air channels.
To select between different applications is by using the circle button. This is for the left & right, down & up control. Press the middle button to select.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
The remotes are chargable via USB-C cable that is located on the left side of the TV. You simply need to plug it into the remote.
We do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use
Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

There is a Samsung sound bar connected to the TV in the living room.
You can use the “SOUNDBAR” remote to turn it on/off, but this should automatically connect to the TV once on.
You will see “ready” on the digital screen on the right side of the soundbar.
The volume of the soundbar can also be controlled from the Samsung TV remote.
KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

60CM Fisher and Paykel Electric Oven:
Use the “Function” knob on the right to turn on the oven and chose the mode.
The function options will light up in the middle screen when you turn the knob.
Once you have chosen your function, use the knob on the far right to change the temperature. The digital screen next to it will display the temp and you can turn it right or left to your preferred temperature.
The digitasl screen to the far left controls the timer if you wish to set this.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please ensure to turn the function knob all the way to OFF, after every use.

5-Burner Fisher and Paykel Electric Stove
The knobs have an indicator to represent each burner.
Turn the knob to the right (clockwise) to turn on and adjust the temperature.
The burner will start turning red once on.
To turn it off, turn the knob counter-clockwise until it is facing up and you will hear a click.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The burners will stay hot for a few minutes after being turned off. Please avoid touching the burners immediately.

Our home comes with a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.
The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.
The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:
In order to turn on the dishwasher, the button on the bottom left is the on/off button. Press this and it will light up the control panel.
The button second from the left is to chose the “mode” you wish to use. The modes are auto, normal, eco, fast, heavy and rinse. We ask that you use the heavy cycle for overnight washing and the fast cycle on the day of checkout.
The button on the far right is the start / stop button. Please press this and this will start the cycle.
On departure, we ask that you use the “fast” cycle with any remaining dirty dishes. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

Our kitchen comes complete with an ALDI K-fee Cube 595 Coffee Machine, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning.
Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. They are located in the drawer below the coffee machine. If you prefer to purchase your own, please ensure you buy the coffee pods from Aldi only. No other brands will fit.
If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.
On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

Other than turning on the Coffee Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the tank at the back to make your desired coffee.
On the top of the machine, is the slot to put in the coffee pod. Just lift up the lever and insert your pod. Ensure the lever is closed fully.
Use the 3 buttons on the front of the machine to choose your desired drink (The button on the far right is for rinsing). Once all the buttons illuminate, your drink is ready.
To remove the pod, lift the lever again and it will drop into the basket.
Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The coffee machie will turn itself off every 5 minutes. You will need to turn it on again by pressing any button.

The home comes with an easy to use microwave.
To open the microwave, press the silver button at the bottom of the control panel.
You can choose the pre-set options or you can use the timer buttons for your preferred heating settings.
Then press the start button at the bottom.
other amenities
Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

The laundry room is located on the lower level near the pool table room. The washing machine is the one on the right.
The best cycle on the washing machine is Daily wash’ or ‘Quick wash’, as these are the quickest settings.
Turn on the machine using the ‘Power’ button.
Just turn the dial to the desired wash cycle, set the temperature, spin speed rate and then push the ‘start/pause’ button.
There is washing powder and stain removal provided by Getawayz NSW.

Turn on the machine using the ‘Power’ button.
Select the drying setting that you want and then push the start button.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need to empty ther water tank after every use. This is located on the top left part of the washing machine.
It has an auto stop function that turns the dryer off automatically when it is finished.
You can use some of the dryer balls to help dry the load quicker should you wish to.
Whilst there is a vent in the cupboard, it is best to keep the door open when drying a load of washing.

There is an outdoor Webber BBQ, located on the balcony off of the kitchen
To turn on the BBQ, push the ‘ignition’ button on the left and turn it to your desire temp.
The BBQ utensils are hanging at the front of the BBQ.
Please ensure the BBQ and gas tank are turned off after every use.
We ask if you use the BBQ, this must be cleaned prior to your departure and the cover put back on.
Please let us know if the gas bottle has run out upon checkout so we can replace this for the next guest.

The electricity box is located on the right hand side of the garage.
Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.
If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)!
We would recommend either:
Using the Ausgrid Website to check for any known outages in the area.
Or call their hotline number: 13 13 88 to report an outage.
If there is not a local outage and you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW on 0480 801 294. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.
Red bins are collected every Friday morning, so we ask that you put these on the street curb on a Thursday evening (if you are staying on a Thursday night) and collect these from the street if you are staying on a Friday.
Yellow and Green bins will be collected on a Fortnightly basis and we will send you a message when the bins need to be taken out.
If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening)

To open the garage, you need to enter it from the inside of the home and on the sides of the garage doors, there are pins that you will need to pull out.
Then in the middle of the garage door, you will need to turn the lock to the right or to "OPEN". Pull up the garage door from the bottom to open it.
Repeat the steps in reserve to close and lock the garage door.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not lose the pins and ensure they are put back in the lock loops on the sides of the doors.
